Diamond, an 11-month-old purebred Yorkie, arrived at our shelter a few weeks ago after showing up at the city shelter with two broken legs! Diamond's story touched many hearts and within three weeks, we raised over $2100 towards her leg surgery. Even though we did not have enough to cover the full bill, a veterinary surgeon generously offered to do the surgery at a discount and allow us to pay part of the bill afterward. She is now doing well and already feels better. She will recover for several weeks in foster care and then we will spay her and x-ray her leg to make sure it is healing well. We still need to raise at least $500 for the remainder of her surgery bill. Any additional money raised for Diamond will be used for follow-up care for her broken legs and for her spay surgery. Diamond has a long road ahead of her, but your donation to the Hope Shelter Medical Fund will help her continue towards recovery.
